Every year, over 900 applicants from all over California and neighboring states participate in the Gene Jung Whittier Mid-Winter Junior Tennis Tournament. In cooperation with the Whittier Community Services Department, GWTC members volunteer each January to assist the USTA in this nationally recognized annual tennis event.

The 2008 Tournament is the 57th annual tournament.

Many famous players who are now pros played in this tournament as juniurs, and GWTC is proud to support this great tennis event.
